Bushido Judo Club was established in 1969 by Bruce Fagan.
Bushido Judo club has trained over 5000 students over the years and still enjoy teaching beginners the Olympic sport of Judo.
From the humble beginnings of training on a canvas covered sawdust floor at a small wooden local church Bushido has come a long way. Bushido Judo Club has a strong history of any club throughout Australia.
In 1996 Bushido Judo Club Shoalhaven was founded by Bruce Fagan which found great success in its own right. Bushido Judo Club had relocated three times previously and in 2016 it was only appropriate that Bushido Judo Club and Bushido Judo Club Shoalhaven merge under the founder of both clubs, Bruce Fagan, which to this day continues the legacy of the original Bushido Judo Club within the Shoalhaven region recognising past achievements and life members with pride.
Throughout the years Bushido Judo Club's members have achieved many results, ranging from gaining Gold and Bronze medals in the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games to assisting over 50 club members achieving their black belt. As colourful and successful Bushido's history is, today Bushido enjoys enormous success within our community with 40-50 students present at any one session. Bushido Judo Club continues to evolve with the view of providing an engaging and safe learning environment for our community to experience and benefit from the Olympic sport of Judo.
